Eyewear in 2026 is moving away from micro-trends and towards craftsmanship: archive-inspired silhouettes, honest materials and frames with a point of view. Ann Demeulemeester sunglasses suit that mood perfectly. Slim titanium, 925 silver detailing and a Belgian house with real fashion pedigree add up to avant-garde sunglasses that look considered rather than loud.
The pairs we stock were made in Japan as part of an exclusive collaboration with Linda Farrow, and they start from £69. Below you'll find the story behind the label, four frames worth knowing, styling and fit advice for different face shapes, and how to buy with confidence.
The short version
- What they are: designer frames from the Ann Demeulemeester and Linda Farrow collaboration, made in Japan, in titanium and acetate with 925 silver details.

Who is Ann Demeulemeester?

Ann Demeulemeester is a Belgian designer and one of the Antwerp Six, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts graduates who rose to fame in the mid-1980s after a showcase at London Fashion Week. She launched her label in 1985, and her work is rooted in dark romanticism.
The look is often summed up as dark romantic minimalism: restrained shapes, a moody palette and nothing decorative that doesn't earn its place. In the frames below that shows up as slim titanium, graphic round and oval shapes, and small metal details such as 925 silver temple tips and hinges.
Why Ann Demeulemeester eyewear has become collectible

“Collectible” is a big word, so here is what actually supports it:
- A genuine collaboration. Each pair belongs to an exclusive Ann Demeulemeester collaboration with Linda Farrow, made in Japan.
- Materials that matter. Titanium frames and temples, acetate fronts, 925 silver temple tips and Category 3 nylon lenses.
- Traceable reference codes. Every pair carries a model number such as AD46C4SUN, which makes it easy to identify, compare and verify.
- Stock by reference. Availability is by reference, and some already show as sold out, so if a frame you like is in stock it is worth acting on.
It also suits the moment. A thin titanium oval or aviator is a quieter, longer-lasting answer to 2026's archive mood than a logo-heavy new release. The four pairs below list regular prices of £420 and £490, and our prices on them start from £69.

How to style them with monochrome AW26 outfits

In an all-black outfit, the sunglasses are often the only piece that catches the light, so treat them like jewellery rather than something grabbed on the way out.
- The long black coat. A knee-length wool coat, black roll neck and boots. A black titanium frame like the AD46C4SUN adds one clean line at eye level without breaking the palette.
- Black tailoring and a white shirt. You already have strong contrast at the collar. Keep the lens dark and the shape graphic, like the AD64C2SUN oval.
- Grey and charcoal layers. Mid-greys can look flat in British winter light. Antique silver with brown lenses, as on the AD46C3SUN, warms the whole outfit.
- Leather, denim and texture. Tortoise shell, like the AD45C2SUN, adds warmth to rougher fabrics. If you prefer classic sunglasses shapes, this is the safest route.
Fit guide: which frames suit which faces

A good rule is contrast: angular frames soften a round face, and curved frames soften an angular one. The second rule matters more than people think: your frame should be about as wide as your face at the temples, with the top edge near your brow line.
Every listing shows three numbers, for example 50-20-138. They are lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. If you own a pair that fits well, compare its numbers with the listing before you order.
-
Round faces and round heads
The best sunglasses for a round face shape add structure: straight top lines, rectangles and flat tops. The AD46 titanium aviators, which are a rectangular take on the classic, do that well. Sunglasses for round heads follow the same logic, but check temple length too: the four frames above all measure 138 to 140mm. For more, read our guide to sunglasses for round face shapes.
-
Long and narrow faces
Glasses for a long face need width and depth to break up the length. Choose deeper lenses and a wider front, like the 56mm AD64 oval, and avoid narrow, shallow frames. Our guide to the best glasses for a long narrow face goes into more detail.
-
Bald men
The best sunglasses for bald men carry some weight at the brow: a defined top line and a front that doesn't look undersized. A black titanium frame like the AD46C4SUN, or a black acetate front like the AD64C2SUN, gives that structure without looking heavy.
-
Sunglasses for dark men
For deeper skin tones, warm metals and rich lenses tend to work well: antique silver with brown lenses (AD46C3SUN), bronze tones (AD64C2SUN) or tortoise shell (AD45C2SUN). Black frames add crisp contrast.

Authenticity: how to buy genuine pieces with confidence
Designer eyewear attracts fakes, so it pays to buy from a seller that stands behind every pair. Our product pages show an Authenticity Guarantee next to a 60-day return window. You can also check a pair yourself:
- Model number. Compare the code on the listing, for example AD46C4SUN, with the frame you receive.
- Origin and materials. The listings specify Made in Japan, titanium or acetate, and 925 silver temple tips. Check that what arrives matches.
- Measurements. The three numbers on the listing, such as 50-20-138, should match your pair. Contact us if anything doesn't.
- Returns. Unworn pairs can be returned within 60 days, so you can try them on as you would in a shop.
